Menja – A Story of Abandonment and Hope

🗓️ Age: About 1 year old at time of arrival
🏡 Left at the center by his mother

Menja was just a year old when his mother left him at the Felana Maitso Center. He was very ill and in urgent need of care. The team at the center immediately took charge, providing him with medical attention and comfort.

Thankfully, Menja recovered well and regained his strength. However, once he was healthy again, his family returned — not to complete the required legal paperwork, but to take him back by force.

As they refused to cooperate with the necessary administrative procedures and displayed hostile behavior, the center could not release the child. Since then, the family has never returned.

Today, Menja continues to grow in a safe, caring environment, surrounded by people who are committed to giving him the love and future he deserves.
